Research Overview
Dry matter production and botanical composition of three pasture species and their seed mixtures after an autumn sowing using two overall sowing rates. Lachie planted a mixture experiment to investigate the establishment of new pasture in response to the proportions of three species in the seed mixture (perennial ryegrass, white clover and plantain), the total sowing rate of the seed mixture (1000 and 2000 seeds/m2) and nitrogen supply (0 and 100 kg of N fertiliser/ha applied after sowing). Lachie was supervised by Dr Alistair Black.
