Early growth and development of nine temperate grass species (PDF unavailable)
Research Overview:
Scott quantified the germination, emergence and leaf appearance rates of temperate grass species in a field experiment and a pot experiment. The objective was to quantify and examine the requirements for successful establishment of the grass species. The species used were Italian ryegrass, diploid ryegrass, tetraploid ryegrass, cocksfoot, timothy, phalaris, prairie grass and coloured brome. Dr Alistair Black supervised the experiment.
